The Story
I started out in the industry as a guitarist for bands and artists. I moved into full-time sessions, recording, producing and mixing on hundreds of songs, studio and live records. I was also a bandleader for artists. Along the way I worked with hundreds of artists and bands, helping them discover and create their sound. I watched artists I worked with land deals with major and indie labels.
Then someone asked me to work on a film. Once I started working with picture, I realized how much I loved it. The combination of sound design, music, and storytelling pulled everything I had learned into one place.
In 2014 I started Twenty20Sound as a post-production sound and music production company. I was based in Kona, Hawaii at Honua Studios, working alongside filmmaker David L. Cunningham's creative collective. In 2018 I joined Smart Post Sound in Burbank, where I work on film and TV productions every day.
But I never stopped mixing records. I still love taking someone's raw tracks and turning them into something they are proud to release. That is why I offer professional mixing and mastering alongside my film and TV work. Good sound is good sound, whether it is a TV show or an indie artist's debut single.
